In the run up to Christmas, the team at the Portsmouth Lead Forensics office have collectively raised funds to ensure that many of the children connected to the Southern Domestic Abuse Service (SDAS) can start their holiday season with a gift.
The company ran a series of “dress down” days at £1 per day to raise funds, and then matched every £1 donated by the team; doubling the fund. Over 80 presents were donated by the Lead Forensics team to the children helped by SDAS.
SDAS work hard to help victims of domestic abuse find refuge in safe environments, where they can start to rebuild their lives. Victims often leave their previous lives completely behind, heading to SDAS with nothing.
Claire Lambon, CEO of the Southern Domestic Abuse Service said “Some of these children have been brought up to feel worthless. For them to know that other people who don’t know them have bought them a Christmas present is amazing” Lead Forensics are proud to be in a position to help such an important local cause and encourage you to give what you can this Christmas to those less fortunate.
